It was such an amazing day, nice cool weather, content and happy kids (despite the long lines), sharing and reliving childhood memories on the rides were just priceless. That whole day made me feel so happy and blessed . Life is so good when you let go and live! Although it was pretty easy to do so in the happiest place on earth. Thanks Lisa and Ivan. I hope its one of those birthdaydays you never forget. xoxo

Movie Time

Marley and I enjoyed a lovely Wednesday matinee at our local Los Feliz 3 theater. It had been a while since we have been to the Mommy and Me movie showings. We used to go all the time and Marley would just fall asleep shortly after the previews, but then soon as he learned how to walk
....watching a movie was nearly impossible.
Something just told me, "I think Marley is mature enough to sit through a movie"......I think? Well what better movie to try than an animated family movie. Perfect. We went to see Rango. It was awesome. Marley was entertained.....I had to admit it was a take on an old western and I just wanted to cover his face anytime they had a pistol fight or any kind of violent action. I know its a animated featured, but I want to keep him as innocent and pure......"hahahah" as posible.
I will never forget Marley's face when we walked into the movie lobby. Marley said "Mama......the movies.....POPcorn. MoviePopcorn!!!!! Yay, Mama. I felt like such a rock star. We sat in the middle and center and he sat through and loved the whole entire movie!
So proud.

Happy Birthday 2nd Birthday Marley!!!
We celebrated Marley's Birthday at My Gym. It was a day filled with a lot of super fun activities for about 16 kids ranging from 2-13 and their folks. We had games, gymnastics, dancing, puppet shows, pizza, cupcakes, and they even planned an "entrance". The faculty took us to the back. They tied a bandanna around his head and put him in a Big Wheel bike and as we escorted him out they played "Bad to the Bone"! It was so hilarious! I didn't even know this was happening. It was unforgettable! Birthday #2 was a success. On top of that, my best friend Kim and her family from New Jersey came and made it even more special.

The Best Musical
It has been pretty well established since Marley was born he that he has the musical bug. He has been singing since birth, surround by instruments and encouraged to make beats & melodies. He has enriched our lives and his extended family. He is a special kid. I cannot put my finger on it, but he has a light that comforts me. He makes me feel like its going to be ok when I'm with him......when actually I feel more than Ok. I'm Blessed. I love you my son.

23 Months

Official Since January 1, 2011 Marley has been completely weened off the "Boob" as he says in his little baby man voice. It was hard for me and Marley, but I was firm and just said....."Marley, you are a big boy and there will be no more booby. OK?" and he said "OK" and shrugged his shoulders down in complete exhaperation. I couldn't believe how cooparative he was. He pouted for a bit, but a couple minutes later he was laughing. Every now and again, he will dive into my chest and zhurbert my chest, but then he'll laugh and just giggle saying the word "boob". I was a lttle sad that we were going to loose that mother-son bond but now we are connected on such a higher level, It's making his next developmental stage an exciting evolution. He is doing really well and he is becoming more interested in food which is making me feel relieved!!!!! He loves yougurt, banannas, grain breads, and peanut butter. My favorite new activity to do with Marley is every Tuesday we go to the kids club, listen to music and have lunch together at one of the restaurants. He really surprises me. He is a little active, but for the most part he has a great time. He interacts with other kids really well. He is starting to understand the concept of sharing and he definately knows what he wants when he wants it. So, now my next challenge is setting boundaries and limits, because we all know in life you can't always get what you want...... even though we try. ;)
