Sharing is Caring

Play dates are the best! It's the best excuse to catch up with friends and allow our kids to bond and play. I wish it could be more frequent, especially with all of my girlfriends who live out of town. Lately, Marley's play dates have been taken place in indoor playgrounds. Last week, We met up with Coralissa,Ivan and Nainoa in Sherman Oaks. I love this girl so much I drove into 99 degree weather ....to play indoor! Hahahah
Pictured: Marley 17months and Nainoa 14 months playing b-ball. I think Nainoa was unfairly charged with a technical foul.

We also visited www.nayaplayground.com in SilverLake. Marley and Crimson had a play date and they had fun going down the slide into the ball pit. This place is really awesome, because every inch of this place is padded! I could look away and know that he's OK. The lady pictured with them is a Nanny for the kid pictured in the lower right corner. She was so smittened with Marley and Crimson, she was totally trying to get a job. She gave me her number for her services, and I guess she kind of gave us a 5 minute freebie. She was really sweet. But Wow, times are getting tough for everybody.

Guava Family

Click on : Guava Family

I am not a camper, but if I were I would get this portable baby tent. I suppose you could use this at the park, beach and just about anywhere outdoors. What a clever item. Now if it could come in toddler sizes! ......... while they're at it, could someone just come up with a collap portable travel car seat and high chair! Who's with me?!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We spent July 4th in Malibu, California. The party was fun, the weather was gorgeous and most importantly the day had no glitches. We had a happy & safe holiday! And everyone I know seemed to have one too. Sometimes we take these things for granted. Spending time with family, laughing with friends or just taking in the beauty of this earth. Turning on the news today, hearing about senseless tragedies are so upsetting.... or hearing the news of my dad's friend dying from a heart attack living his retirement on an island is heartbreaking. Just goes to show how precious and short life is. It just makes me realize more and more ......the quality of life, the moments, the priceless memories, spending time with your family & friends, and taking on new and fun adventures is what life is all about. I am so grateful. So extremely grateful.

Summer Fun

Parenting Marley has really taught me to be very resourceful. I diligently search for thing to do in our neighborhood. Affordable thing to more importantly. I really try to make it fun and educational for the whole family. Researching options to attend toddler friendly events or organize play dates with other children. Depending on how adventurous we are feeling we will walk to the park, take in a story time at the library, shop at the farmers market, visit the zoo, the horse ranch or a friends pool, we have been having a really nice and easy L.A Summer. I find myself being less stressed, because I am actually taking time to smell the roses. I am realizing beauty in the simplest things, and that credit is due to my Marls. Being able to share "First" with him is so special to me and I will treasure his spirit all the days of my life.
