Merry Go Rounds

Thank goodness there are some inexpensive ways to spend a great time with your child. Money doesn't by a precious moment. If you just open your eyes and hearts every second you look at your little one will be priceless. A couple of Sundays ago we went to visit the Griffith Park playground. This park has a lot of attrations including a gorgeous Merry-go-Round. It is so beautiful. It also has a snack shop right next door with prices I remember when I was a kid. I actually purchased a snow cone with cherry syryp for 1.00! That has to be my favorite treat in the world.

I have to be honest I havent seen an old school Merry-go-Round, equipped with the creepy organ music and a ticket ride priced at a low price of $2.50..........since I was a kid! And I am sorry that I am harping on the prices, but the economic times that we live in today.....NEVER lets me forget! ;) My grandparents used to take me and my brother to Coney Island's amusement park in NY. Wow....I forgot about that. I just got that warm fuzzy feeling. Those memories; something so simple, but so defined in my heart. Thinking back, they took two young children on trains and buses, from Queens to Brooklyn. It doesn't sound far, but beleive me .....now that I am a parent, I know that must have been an ordeal! All to show there grandchildren a great time. Seeing life through new eyes is probably more of a gift watching it happen. And although Marley may be too young to remember all of these special moments that I treasure, he will FEEL and Know he is loved. That's something money can't buy.

Peek Kaa Boo

Peek Kaa Boo is an indoor Playground located in Eagle Rock, California. My allergies have been killing me so I just wanted to have an alternative option when the Santa Ana winds blow all of that dirt and pollen. I think we may try it again, but I would like to bring a playdate for Marley next time. He is pretty good playing by himself, but I think its better for him to interact with babies his age.

Easter Hunt Time

We started off our Easter morning at Church. Marley enjoyed the music and hymn books, the attendance cards, the offering plate, the program, the people, etc. Lets just say he was taking a lot in! Keeping me very busy. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day and they had an easter egg hunt for the children. Marley participated and found it both confusing and challenging. :) Later that afternoon, we had lunch at our friends house (The Sparks Family). They also had a Easter Egg hunt which Marley seemed more familiar with....and less challenging because we all were dropping eggs in his basket. To top the afternoon off....we experienced an earthquake! I thought I was queasy, but the pictures were shaking on the wall and the water in the pool splash out. No worries, no one got hurt. The kids didn't even know what happened.

Celebrating at the Park

BFN's
The History of BFN's began in 2001 when I moved to Los Angeles.
Coralissa and I were really close, like a sister to me and the fact
that we lived a couple of doors down the street from each other made us as thick as theives.
We were eachothers Best Friends....she still is one of my favorite people in the world.
We all know at certain points in your life you have had several impactful people hold that coveted honor. And we both know each others best friend from back in the day and would never want to offend them so we call each other our Best Friend Neighbors. Coralissa will always be my Best Friend neighbor (Neighbor is actually silent), but thats our secret. LOL love you Liss

March 18th we celebrated Coralissa's Birthday
at Griffith Park, with close friends and our babies!!!

It's all UpHill from here!

Ever since Marley took his first steps..... he has been on the fast track of mobility, learning and Momma and Dada chasing behind his every move! I really didn't imagine, watching him develop into his own person would get better and better everyday. Although, everyday is pretty much a scavenger hunt for my shoes, phone, remote control, etc. He wakes up everyday waiting to take on the world and climb on top of our furniture! He is getting to be a little pro at repeating sounds, reprising words and actions he learned from the day before. He is a pretty fantastic little boy. He gives me the gift of surprise! Which just melts my heart and makes me laugh. Yesterday for instance, Marley was relaxing in my arms and out of nowhere he pulled away from me and screamed "Yay!!!" and started clapping and pointing outside the window. He was so excited he preceded to have conversation combining all of his vocabulary thus far. It sounds like this "OOoo OOoo Twru Tree thhhh UP brown UP dbrown" then he saw a feather........Marley started to blow into the air! ............My little heart breaker.
